And just like that, summer’s gone! Today is officially the first day of Autumn, and it definitely feels like it here in Utah. The temperatures have dropped, it’s raining outside, and I’m feeling the need to pull out my sweaters and boots to stay warm. It’s always nice when the weather/seasons change, because with it comes a new set of clothing options. I love sweater weather, and so when I felt the chill in the air this morning, I immediately grabbed one of my favorite cardigans I purchased from the Nordstrom sale back in July. I love the mustard color for fall and I love it even more paired with a striped tee.
The great part about both the cardigan and tee, are both items can be styled so many different ways. That is one question I always ask myself when I purchase most of my clothing. Can this item be styled multiple ways? If not, I’ll usually pass on it. I think it’s more fun to wear an item styled differently each time you wear it, instead of always pairing it with the same thing. Anyone else feel the same?
Speaking of sweaters, right now is Triple Points at Nordstrom (through the 24th). This means, if you have a Nordstrom Credit or Debit card, you’ll be earning triple points for every purchase made! Also, if you shop at the Loft, everything in their store is 40% off. They have some really cute things for fall, and this sale makes for some killer deals!
Check out some of my favorite items/purchases from both Nordstrom and Loft. Hope you all enjoy your weekend…and stay warm!
We’ve been in our current home for nine years, and yet, I still refer to it as our “new house.” The sad part is, we’ve lived here longer than any other location, so I’m not so sure why I still call it the “new house.” In the past nine years, a lot of things have changed, but one of the things that has remained the same, is my home decor. I’m dying to redecorate my entire home, but for some reason, it’s hard for me to decorate. I can put together an outfit in my sleep, but ask me to decorate a room and I panic. I decided I’d start small, and so I took on our main bathroom.
I partnered with Shopko for this bathroom remodel and I’m excited with how it turned out. Because this bathroom is mostly used by my boys, I wanted to stick with neutral colors. I decided on a gray and blue color palette.
For the shower curtain, I decided to go outside the box and used actual curtains, instead of your typical shower curtain. I did this for two reasons. First, I really liked the pattern and colors in these curtains, and second, I liked the idea of being able to separate the two and have one curtain on each side. These are the London Grommet Window Panel Curtains by Envision Studio.
I figured there was no reason to try and be fancy when it came to decorating the towel rack, as it’s sole purpose is to hang towels. These bath towels are by the brand, Hotel by Club Grand, which is a new line at Shopko. They are plush and super soft and I think I need to purchase some more for my bathroom.
I fell in love with this Rug the moment I saw it. I love how it starts dark and grows lighter until it becomes white and then darkens back up. The perfect rug for the boys to stand on while they brush their teeth and comb their hair, so their feet don’t freeze on the cold tile.
Another new line being sold at Shopko, is Le Petit Marseillais Bath Soap. It smells just like oranges and will hopefully help wash away that “boy”smell that comes with teenage boys. Unfortunately, it looks like the bath soap has sold out online, so hopefully you’ll be able to locate in store.
I’m very pleased with the final look and outcome of this bathroom. I hope this post has given you some ideas of your own if you’re looking to redecorate at your own home. You can check out my board here, where I have a few other bathroom items I love as well.
Thank you to Shopko for sponsoring this post.
Fashion and Sense of Style is something that is different for everyone. We all have our “favorite” pieces, whether that be a dress, a t-shirt and jeans, or tennis shoes and sweats. When it comes to fashion, I’m all about finding unique pieces that fit with my sense of style. What is my sense of style? That has taken me some time to determine, but here is what I came up with. For me, I tend to lean toward looks that are modern, classic, fun, slightly elegant and trendy. I feel more comfortable in a pair of jeans paired with a wedge or heel than jeans and sneakers. I much prefer a skirt and tee to a pair of sweats and tee. That’s just who I am.
On my recent trip to Paris, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Lilith, a women’s clothing boutique. This was such a fun experience, and one that I will definitely never forget. The greatest part about Lilith, is the clothing here is exactly how I define my style, full of unique pieces that are built upon classic, elegant, and trendy looks, which is why I specifically sought them out.
I met with Elodie, the manager of the Lilith shop in Paris, and we spent a couple hours together talking about the brand and trying on tons of beautiful clothing. Elodie was so sweet and went above and beyond in working with me on this collaboration. Currently, they have their summer line in store, and each line is focused on a theme. The summer theme being “Myths and Fantasies.” I learned that Lilith was founded in 1987, and is a women’s creative and original brand. Their”offbeat fabric blends and mixtures of non-traditional colors set the tone of Lilith collections.” The thing I love about the brand, is the attention to detail. Each piece is unique and the detail you find is amazing. Lilith promotes ” a different type of fashion, genuine and creative, funny and humane, singular and audacious, elegant and free.”
One, if not all of these adjectives, describe to a tee the pieces that I styled from Lilith. The overalls are definitely fun, creative, and even somewhat audacious. The skirt is creative, elegant, and unique. The black button down shirt is a classic with a twist, making it unique, fun, and creative.

If you will be in the Paris area, stop by the Lilith shop. It’s cute , quaint, and so much different than any other shop you will come across. If you won’t be traveling to France anytime soon, they also have a shop in San Francisco as well as New York.
A special thank you to Fanny and Elodie! You both were wonderful to work with and went above and beyond in accommodating my schedule. Thank you Elodie for taking time (on your day off) to share with me information on the Lilith brand and for allowing me to shop for a couple hours. It was a pleasure to meet you and I loved every minute of my time at Lilith.
