Spring is in full swing! The thing I look forward to most with the start of each season, is adding a few new items to my wardrobe. Buying new items can get expensive, especially if you’re like me, and want one of everything. So what should you purchase? My best piece of advice, watch for sales, only buy what you know you’ll wear, but also don’t be afraid to buy something that you love, even if it might be a little out of your comfort zone. This year, J. Crew has the cutest berry print pieces. I fell in love with the skirt, and knew it was something I HAD to have, yet wondered if I could pull it off. When I saw the skirt was on sale, I pulled the trigger, and look forward to the many styling options it will provide. Everyone has their own style, and if you wear your pieces with confidence, you will look great!

By now, I’m sure you’ve all heard about the long lasting lipstick from LipSense. LipSense claims to last all day, without wearing off, smudging, or smearing. If there is one thing I hate not having on, it’s lipstick. I seriously look like I just walked off the set of The Walking Dead when my lipstick has worn off. So, when I heard there was a lipstick that lasted all day, I had to try it, only trouble was, they offer so many color options, I had no idea which one to choose.
I wanted a color that was going to look good with everything, so that ruled out the bright pinks, plums, etc. I finally decided on Fire ‘N Ice and have been so pleased with the color. When I placed my order, I opted for the LipSense starter kit. This includes 1 color of choice, Gloss, and Oops Remover for $55.
My first few experiences of wearing LipSense were not great. I would apply the lipstick as directed, and then cover with the gloss. Within an hour or two, the lipstick was starting to flake off, and it looked ridiculous. After talking with Sherion, a friend of mine who sells LipSense, I realized what I was doing wrong. Your lips need to be completely clean and dry before applying the lipstick and I was not wiping off my foundation from my lips before applying. Once I started doing this, the lipstick has stayed on wonderfully!
There is a method to applying your LipSense, and if you follow this method, you will not have to reapply your color throughout the day. You will however, need to apply the gloss multiple times. This helps keep the color on and looking neat.
After using LipSense for the past few months, I have to admit, I’m hooked. I am in awe at how well this lipstick stays on throughout the day. Not only do I not have to reapply my color throughout the day, but no more lipstick stains on my drinking cups. I do reapply the gloss about 3-4 times during the day, to keep my lips looking good. So will I continue to purchase LipSense? You bet! I just received Rose Ice and it is the perfect color for spring. I’m on my 2nd Fire ‘N Ice Lipstick, and have also added 4 other colors to my make up bag. Give it a shot! I think you’ll be glad you did. Happy first day of Spring! I honestly wondered if this day was ever going to come. This year we have had such a cold and snowy winter, that I began to think that we would never see warm weather again. I love this time of year. The flowers begin to bloom, the birds start to chirp, and I can finally put away my boots and coat and bring out the sandals and short sleeved tops.
This top is a must have for the spring! The floral print, peplum hem, and tie waist give me all sorts of heart eyes. Not to mention, this type of top looks great on any body type. Pair this top with a pair of distressed denim like I did in this post, or dress it up by adding a pencil skirt and a pair of heels. The styling options are endless, and I guarantee this will be on constant rotation over the next few months.
