The weekend is finally here! If you are looking for something to do this weekend…say for date night, a night out with friends, or a night out with your family, I highly suggest going to see the movie, “The Stray.”
I was lucky enough to attend the premiere screening of “The Stray” a couple nights ago, and I was so impressed with this movie. I had not seen the trailer, so I was expecting it to be a film focused solely on a dog. This is not the case at all. The movie is a true story about the Davis family and a stray dog, “Pluto, who appears from out of nowhere just in time to save a family that is falling apart. Pluto is not only a guard dog – he’s a guardian angel. Sometimes help comes in the most unlikely forms. Sometimes prayers are answered in the most unlikely ways. Sometimes one dog can change everything.” In light of everything that has taken place in Las Vegas this week, it was great to see a movie that focuses on love and family. In fact, I left the movie wanting to go out and get our family a dog. If you know me, then you will find this as surprising as I did, because I am so not a pet person.
The movie is directed by Mitch Davis, (who also directed the film “The Other Side of Heaven,” which starred Anne Hathaway and Christopher Gorham) with Sarah Lancaster, David Cassidy, Connor Corum, Scott Christopher (many from Utah will recognize Scott from Granite Flats), and Jacque Gray as the main cast. I worked with Scott on Granite Flats and Jacque in a commercial, so it was fun to watch them in this film. The entire cast did a phenomenal job!

Fall fashion has to be my favorite! I love the deep jewel tone colors that come with fall, the chunky sweaters, over the knee boots, scarves, cardigans, and layering. Fall, is a great time to dress in layers, at least here in the state of Utah. The mornings are cool and crisp, with the afternoons warming up, and then dropping again come dusk. I love grabbing a top that I know will get me through the afternoon, and then adding a denim jacket, cardigan, or scarf to keep me warm in the morning and evening hours.

It’s cute worn alone with a pair of jeans or tucked into a denim skirt and it has the fun “strappy” neckline…so no jewelry needed. This top also looks nice layered under a denim or leather jacket, blazer, or cardigan. I’m clueless when it comes to what is on trend for men’s fashion this fall. However, when I saw this A&I Long Sleeve Henley I knew that one, my husband would actually like it and wear it, two, I liked it and thought it would be a great staple for him this season, and three, it wasn’t a t-shirt or button down, so I bought it for him! It looks great paired here with a dark pair of denim and gray casual shoes. I think this henley would also look nice worn under a flannel shirt or leather jacket.
