I am a busy mom of 3 who is always on the go! I have a love for all things fashion related, and I enjoy sharing ideas with the online fashion community. I started my fashion Instagram account, @astylishcloset in March of 2016, and I have had so much fun, I’ve decided to enter the blogging world.

As much as we would all like to look like a Victoria Secret model who just stepped off the runway, with a never ending bank account, it’s just not reality. However, just because the day is full of things like taking kids to school, dance or sporting events, and running errands doesn’t mean that we have to be frumpy. There is a time and a place for the comfort of sweat pants and pajamas, but I prefer the way I feel when I am dressed for the day. I feel better when I have something fun and fashionable that adds personality and variety to life. I like to find different outfits and ideas that are appropriate for the time, place and activity. I wouldn’t wear the same thing to take the kids to school that I would wear to church, and I wouldn’t wear the same thing to church that I would wear to a football game and a barbecue. No matter what the activity, I like to find the way to do it in style, and in a way that enhances my enjoyment of the activity. I love using tools like Instagram and fashion blogs to get ideas and inspiration from others in similar situations, and I hope to share that with others.

Just to add a little more description to the types of lifestyle situations that I dress for, I thought I would give a little more detail about me. I am happily married, with 3 kids, a daughter and two sons. Most days I am a full time “stay at home mom”, but we all know that doesn’t mean that I get to “stay at home” very often. Most days are spent coordinating car pools, taking kids to and from school, dance, sporting events, etc. These are times where a more functional and casual look is appropriate. I work one day a week at my husband’s engineering office, where a more professional look is preferred. I also have had fun the last few years working as an Extra in commercials, TV shows, and movies. In these situations, the wardrobe is always changing depending on the role or setting, so it gives opportunities to try all sorts of different types of looks and fashions. I bet there are lots of women like me who have varied lives and situations, and hopefully we can find opportunities to be fun and fashionable along the way!
