Green Valley Spa & Resort

Growing up my grandparents lived in St. George, so my family visited the area often, at times too often.  There’s just something about staying at your grandparent’s house while on vacation, that isn’t exciting.  While I have driven through St. George a lot over the years to get to my final destination of Las Vegas or California, I have not vacationed in St. George since I was a youth.

This last weekend, my daughter had a dance competition in St. George, so we decided to take the family and go on a mini vacation. I have a family of 5, and so it can be hard at times to find a place that we all fit comfortably. For this mini vacation we were lucky enough to stay at the Green Valley Spa & Resort.  They have many options when it comes to guest rooms, and we stayed in their Grand Suite. This suite was wonderful and fit the needs of my family perfectly.  For starters, The Grand Suite is 1500 square feet with enough space for us all to spread out.  With two queen beds, two sofas, and a roll away, we were all able to sleep very comfortably.  Other amenities include, multiple pools, private patio, kitchen area with a mini fridge, microwave, sink, and kitchen table and chairs, jetted tub, fireplace, spa robes, and even, a massage table.  It was so nice, comfortable and spacious, that my niece who also dances with my daughter came to our place to get ready for the dance as well.  Our suite became the gathering place for my extended family who was in town for the same competition since it really had the feeling of a home away from home.

Outside of the spacious comfortable suites, the grounds are incredible.  It is so nice, beautiful and peaceful.  Unfortunately we were so early in the season that not all of the fountains, hot tubs and pools were fully operational, so I am dying for a chance to go back and see everything completely up and running.  The landscaping, plants, paths, etc. in addition to the front patio at our suite made it the kind of place I wanted to spend my time.  When away from our suite, my younger kids enjoyed the pools, mini golf, and the basketball court.  I wish we would have had time to play tennis, there were several courts that were really nice and well maintained.

The resort has a nice restaurant and dining area on site.  We went for breakfast everyday and met the new owner Biaggio (hope I am spelling it right) who could not have been nicer or more accommodating.  He told us that the restaurant is changing over and will soon be called Biaggio’s. He talked to us about the plans and updates that they are undergoing, and soon with their name change will have dinner and lunch services as well.  They are going to have pizza, pasta, and several other entrees.  I can’t wait to go back and try it the next time I am in town.

All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at the Green Valley Spa and Resort.  It really made us feel like we went to a destination, as opposed to just finding a place to sleep in between dance competitions.  It was a great place to stay as a family to get away and find some peace and relaxation. I would recommend it to any other people looking for the same.

Feel free to email me if you are thinking of staying or if you have any other questions.

Thanks, for stopping by.
